Worship Music

Chancel Choir

Comprising 50+ volunteer singers, the Chancel choir provides musical leadership for the 8:45am Traditions service each week, September through May, and sings for special seasonal services at Thanksgiving, Christmas and during Holy Week.  Annual offerings include a choral worship service and presentation of a major work with orchestra.

The choir draws on a rich history rooted in the Lutheran a cappella tradition, and has embarked on mission tours locally and beyond to Scandinavia and the Baltic states.  Repertoire ranges from staples in the sacred choral literature to recent hymn-based compositions.  Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings, 7:30pm–9:00pm.  All who enjoy singing are welcome to join!
